Here are a couple of contributions from the Stricko Nation to keeping our planet noice ... Yesterday some of us went back to the 70's and turned up at a demo ... with a crowd of thousands (not quite as big as the Moratoriums ... look it up kids ...) and some weird characters (almost street theatre?)
Then we have a "before and after" shot of the Carbon Tender re-vegetation at the Cloverlea / Mount Worth farm ... which bears the paw print of many a Strick Nation denizen ...
Still having trouble with the layout .. but you get the idea!

ReplyDeleteAnd yay for the veteran activists dusting off the Joan Baez records and hitting the rally trail. Rallies have never been quite the same since the bad old Vietnam War days. I remember a couple of anti-uranium marches in the late 70's which were about as exciting as my uni cohort managed. Mind you, a march of 400 desal protesters in Wonthaggi can make a fair bit of noise!!!
